Abstrakt:	Morphological studies of Rotala revealed a new species, Rotala konkanensis, from low-level ferricretes of the Konkan region of Maharashtra, India. The new species is described and illustrated here. A taxonomic key and morphological comparison table of new species with closely related taxa, geographical distribution and images are provided.
