Abstrakt: This study aims to present the board game Rythmomachia as described by the mathematician and philosopher Francesco Barozzi in a manual published in Venice in 1572. Both the rules of the game and their relation to the Pythagorean tradition are described. This work is part of a research project sponsored by A.G. Leventis Foundation in Cyprus and is implemented by the Associate Professor of the Department of Byzantine and Modern Greek Studies, Irene Papadaki and the Emeritus Professor of the Department of Social Sciences and Education, Athanasios Gagatsis.
