Abstrakt:	The article offers information on the Crime Victims Fund (CVF) established by the Victims of Crime Act (VOCA) in 1984 to fund state victim compensation and assistance programs. Topics include amendments to VOCA to support additional victim-related activities, the establishment of the Office for Victims of Crime (OVC) within the Department of Justice (DOJ) in 1988 to administer the CVF, and OVC's mission to enhance the nation's capacity to assist crime victims.
