Abstrakt: The article discusses a case study of a patient with neurofibrillary tangle-predominant dementia (NFTD) followed by the development of amyloid β (Aβ) pathology. NFTD is characterized by the deposition of neurofibrillary tangles in the medial temporal lobe, while Alzheimer's disease (AD) is characterized by the accumulation of Aβ plaques. The case study highlights the challenges in accurately diagnosing and treating neurodegenerative diseases, particularly in an aging population. The findings emphasize the need for a more comprehensive understanding of the underlying pathology of dementia syndromes beyond the traditional AD model. [Extracted from the article]
