Abstrakt: The utilization of dissipated heat from the waste heat recovery system is worked out using various potential techniques, considering that an effective and economically compatible technique is heat pipe. This investigation is done along the three heat pipes inserted in the heat exchanger to analyse the performance using different input parameters. The study focus on the tilting of heat pipes for vertical and horizontal inclined angles (0° and 90°), acetone is used for heat pipe operation and similarly water is used for heat supplying and condensing at heat exchanger. The characteristics study makes an observation as 0° angle has highest effectiveness of 60.62%. The influence of increase in effectiveness makes the down trend in thermal resistance meanwhile the performance of the system also increases gradually. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
