The article is devoted to the results of the development of a technique for modeling steady state modes of valve converters with a periodic structure of the power circuit. Valve converters with a periodic power circuit structure are valve converters based on autonomous current inverters, the structure of the power circuit of which changes according to a previously known law, depending on the operation of the power thyristor control system. At the same time, in the process of modeling steady-state modes, not only the change in the topology of the power circuit is taken into account, but also the adopted method of excitation and the method of regulating the output voltage of the inverter. A technique for mathematical modeling of steady state modes of valve converters developed on the basis of autonomous current inverters is proposed. The recursive formulas of the desired currents and voltages are presented, corresponding to each interval of the conductivity of valve elements. The method proposed in the article for calculating the instantaneous values of currents and voltages of an autonomous current inverter is based on the Laplace transform rules and can be used to calculate both steady-state and transient processes of various types of valve converters, regardless of the complexity of the power circuit, the type of load and the accepted method of operation of the control system.
