This article provides an overview of the immunophenotypic characteristics of acute myeloid leukemia (AML) with UBTF tandem duplications (TD). The study found that AML cases with UBTF-TDs often exhibit loss or decreased expression of certain antigens, such as CD34 and HLA-DR, while cross-lineage expression of CD4 or CD7 is common. These immunophenotypic abnormalities can complicate the assessment of minimal residual disease (MRD), but it is crucial to analyze the CD34+ population.
