This article discusses the development of a heterogeneous copper-based catalyst, Cu3N NC, for the protosilylation of unsaturated compounds. The catalyst was found to be effective in the synthesis of various silanes from alkynes, alkenes, and imines under base- and ligand-free conditions. The Cu3N NC catalyst demonstrated high activity and durability, and it could be reused multiple times without significant loss of activity. The article also presents the protosilylation of alkynes with electron-withdrawing groups, the protosilylation of alkenes, and the protosilylation of imines using the Cu3N NC catalyst. The findings contribute to the development of sustainable technologies for the production of valuable silanes. [Extracted from the article] |
