Ionizing radiation can be used as both therapy and diagnose in radiology. Feasibility test on radiology equipment and research involving human objects requires phantoms. The use of 3D printing technology for phantom manufactured for radiology purposes can be an alternative. This research was conducted to identify the potential of 3D printing materials of HIPS, Carbon, PLA, Nylon, and Water Washable Resin for phantom materials, where the materials are exposed with Siemens CT-Scanner to obtain their CT number and electron density. The result shows that HIPS, Carbon, PLA, and Nylon have potential to be used as lung phantom, while Water Washable Resin had potential for bone phantom. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR] |
