A recent study conducted by researchers at University College London (UCL) has examined the experiences of women who have undergone pelvic or vaginal mesh procedures. The study involved a systematic review and thematic analysis of qualitative studies, including interviews and focus groups, to identify pain-related problems and psychological aspects of pain. The findings revealed that women who experienced pain and complications from pelvic mesh felt profound and far-reaching effects, including a loss of trust in medical care. The study highlights the need for further understanding and support for women affected by these issues. [Extracted from the article] |
