Abstrakt: A recent study conducted by researchers at the University of Airlangga in East Java, Indonesia, compared the effects of sugar cane juice and cyclamate solution as sweeteners on blood glucose levels in rats. The study found that artificial sweeteners, such as cyclamate, can cause glucose intolerance, leading to abnormal blood glucose levels. The research used laboratory experiments and a descriptive analysis method to measure blood glucose levels before and after treatment. The results showed that both sweeteners caused a slight increase in blood glucose levels, but cyclamate had the highest average increase. The study concludes that there are differences in blood glucose levels between rats given sugar cane juice and those given cyclamate solution as sweeteners. [Extracted from the article]
