Abstrakt: Researchers from Prince of Songkla University have conducted a study on amino acids and their role in drug design. Using in silico techniques, they identified the key residue for CSF1R binding affinity among various inhibitors. They found that tryptophan at position 550 interacted with the inhibitors' aromatic ring, improving their binding affinity. However, this interaction did not guarantee CSF1R specificity and inhibition. The study provides valuable insights into drug-target selectivity and specificity. [Extracted from the article]
