Abstrakt: A recent study conducted at the University of Catania in Italy has examined the role of nerve tissue proteins in various neurological conditions. The study focused on three specific conditions: polymicrogyria, cobblestone malformations, and tubulinopathies. Polymicrogyria is characterized by small brain convolutions and can lead to epilepsy and cognitive impairments. Cobblestone malformations affect the cortex and are associated with muscular dystrophy syndromes. Tubulinopathies result from gene variants and can cause motor and cognitive impairments. Currently, there are no effective treatments for these conditions, but management strategies include physiotherapy, speech therapy, and medication. [Extracted from the article]
