A recent study conducted by researchers at Peter the Great Saint Petersburg Polytechnic University in Russia explores the potential of siRNA-based therapy for chronic myeloid leukemia (CML). CML is a type of cancer that accounts for a significant portion of adult leukemia cases. The study focuses on the molecular genetic mechanisms underlying CML, challenges in its treatment, potential molecular targets for drug development, and the application of siRNAs in CML models. The findings suggest that siRNA therapy could be a promising novel therapeutic strategy for CML. [Extracted from the article] |
