A recent study conducted at Weifang People's Hospital in China explored the relationship between Neurospecific Enolase (NSE) and childhood pneumonia. The study aimed to provide assistance in the diagnosis and assessment of pneumonia. The researchers measured the levels of NSE, ESR, and CRP in children with pneumonia and compared them to a control group. The study found that serum NSE can serve as an inflammatory indicator for pediatric pneumonia, which has important clinical guidance significance for diagnosis, condition evaluation, and prognosis.
