A recent study conducted in Argentina aimed to improve patient care delivery in intensive care units (ICUs) during the COVID-19 pandemic. The study implemented a quality improvement collaborative (QIC) that included learning sessions and improvement cycles. The results showed improvements in the proper utilization of personal protective equipment (PPE) and compliance with patient care objectives. However, the study found that healthcare workers did not use the support tool for self-mental health evaluation as much as expected. The researchers concluded that QICs could be effective in improving healthcare processes and PPE use, but further analysis is needed regarding emotional support tools. [Extracted from the article] |
