Abstrakt: A recent study conducted by researchers at the University of Massachusetts Amherst examined the impact of an urban gardens and peer nutritional counseling intervention on HIV-related stigmas and social support among individuals with HIV and food insecurity in the Dominican Republic. The study found that participants in the intervention group experienced reduced internalized stigma, a decreased probability of experiencing HIV-related stigma or discrimination, and modestly improved social support. However, the researchers noted that a larger trial is needed to establish the efficacy of the intervention and further explore its impact on HIV stigma and social support. This research provides valuable insights into the potential benefits of food security interventions for individuals living with HIV. [Extracted from the article]
