Abstrakt: A recent report from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) highlights a measles outbreak in a migrant shelter in Chicago, Illinois, from February to May 2024. The outbreak occurred due to low measles vaccination coverage among shelter residents. The Chicago Department of Public Health (CDPH) implemented outbreak investigation and response activities, including a mass vaccination campaign, resulting in a 93% measles vaccination coverage by March 11. A total of 57 confirmed measles cases were reported, with most cases occurring among unvaccinated individuals.
