Abstrakt: A study conducted at King Faisal Hospital in Rwanda explored the barriers to implementing clinical cancer genetics in sub-Saharan Africa (SSA). The researchers surveyed participants of a virtual cancer genetics course and found that clinical cancer genetics remains underutilized in SSA due to knowledge gaps and various barriers. The study highlighted the need for a multi-pronged approach to address testing costs, infrastructure, and education for both patients and healthcare providers.
