Abstrakt: A recent study conducted by researchers at Universitas Brawijaya in Malang, Indonesia, focused on syncope, which is a brief loss of consciousness caused by reduced blood flow to the brain. The researchers examined a 69-year-old man with hypertension and a history of smoking who presented with syncope symptoms. The patient was diagnosed with syndrome of inappropriate antidiuretic hormone secretion (SIADH) and had a Brugada pattern on an electrocardiogram (ECG), indicating potential cardiac issues. After correcting the hyponatremia, the patient's ECG returned to normal, and he did not experience any further episodes of syncope during the three-month follow-up period.
