Abstrakt: | A study conducted at the University Hospital of Santiago de Compostela in Spain has found that endoscopic ultrasound-guided tissue acquisition (EUS-TA) is a highly accurate and safe technique for diagnosing focal liver lesions (FLL). The researchers analyzed a database of patients who underwent EUS-TA for FLL evaluation and found that a correct diagnosis was made in 88% of cases. The diagnostic yield increased to 94% when additional extrahepatic lesions were examined during the same procedure. No adverse events were reported, and the study suggests that EUS-TA could be considered as the primary approach for diagnosing FLL. [Extracted from the article] |
