A recent study conducted by researchers at Payame Noor University in Tehran, Iran, examined the effectiveness of the Alexander Technique on the quality of life (QoL) in young men with upper crossed syndrome. Upper crossed syndrome is known to cause a decrease in health and QoL due to various complications. The study involved 24 male participants who were divided into two groups, with one group receiving 12 training sessions of the Alexander Technique over six weeks. The results showed a significant improvement in both the physical and mental dimensions of QoL in the experimental group compared to the control group. The researchers suggest that the Alexander Technique can be used as a psychophysical re-education method to improve health and QoL in individuals with upper crossed syndrome.
