Abstrakt: A recent study conducted at Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia examined the correlation between Fitzpatrick Skin Type (FST), iris color, and tumor size in patients with uveal melanoma. The study included 823 patients and found that there was a statistically significant difference in tumor thickness and basal diameter for patients with brown iris color and FST type III-V. However, iris color alone did not show a difference in tumor size. This research provides valuable insights into the relationship between skin type, iris color, and uveal melanoma.
