Abstrakt: A study conducted by researchers at Hoseo University in Korea has developed and validated the Korean version of the Summated Xerostomia Inventory (K-SXI) to measure xerostomia, or dry mouth, in older adults residing in long-term care facilities. The study included 544 participants and found that the K-SXI had good reliability and validity in measuring xerostomia in this population. The researchers concluded that the K-SXI can be used as a tool to assess and manage xerostomia in institutionalized older adults in Korea. The study was funded by the National Research Foundation of Korea. [Extracted from the article]
