The article discusses the issue of net metering in Pakistan's power sector. The Prime Minister expressed concern about the country's debt and the state of the power sector, and vowed to fix it. The article highlights the discrepancy in tariff renegotiations between private power producers and solar independent power producers (IPPs). It also discusses the burden placed on grid consumers by rooftop solar generators with net metering licenses and the potential reduction in the buyback price for solar energy.
