This article, titled "Teacher Pathways: From Recruitment to Early Career--Key Considerations for Teacher Education," is an introduction to the Spring 2024 issue of Teacher Education Quarterly. The editors discuss various global events, such as conflicts in Ukraine, Russia, Israel, Palestine, Africa, and Haiti, and their impact on teacher education. The article presents three articles that address different aspects of teacher education: teacher recruitment, student teaching, and the experiences of early-career teachers. These articles explore the need to increase teacher recruitment, the role of blogging in reflective practice during student teaching, and the challenges faced by early-career teachers in different educational environments.
