Abstrakt: This article examines the effects of globalization and privatization on education in Pakistan. It argues that these processes have led to power imbalances, Western dominance, and marginalization in policymaking and education in the country. The article also discusses the socio-political context of Pakistan, emphasizing the colonial legacy and the impact of globalization and privatization on the education system. It highlights the role of international organizations in promoting privatization policies and the proliferation of low-fee private schools and universities, which have contributed to educational inequality and the marginalization of certain groups. The article calls for an approach to education that prioritizes equitable access and the preservation of local languages and culture. [Extracted from the article]
