A recent study conducted at Imam Mohammad Ibn Saud Islamic University in Saudi Arabia aimed to determine the prevalence of atopic dermatitis among college students. The study found that approximately one-third of the participants had atopic dermatitis in the last six months, while 30.7% reported having an itchy rash in the past year, and 33.8% had been diagnosed with eczema at some point in their lives. The study also revealed that females and older participants were more likely to report atopic dermatitis. These findings suggest a high prevalence of atopic dermatitis among college students at the university, potentially indicating a higher prevalence of allergens. [Extracted from the article] |
