A recent study conducted at the Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research (JIPMER) in Puducherry, India, focused on the morphometry of the adult dry tibia in South India. The researchers measured various parameters of the upper end, shaft, and lower end of the tibia using a digital Vernier caliper. The study provides observational morphometric data that can be useful in clinical and medicolegal cases, particularly in the selection of the correct prosthesis for knee surgeries. The findings are expected to have significant implications across various disciplines. [Extracted from the article] |
