Abstrakt: A recent study conducted at the Jawaharlal Nehru Institute of Medical Sciences in Manipur, India, examined the experiences of mothers during childbirth and their observations of respectful maternity care (RMC) practices in a health facility. The study found that 99.1% of the women reported experiencing at least one form of disrespect or abuse during childbirth, with the highest rates of abuse occurring in the facility and environment domain. The researchers concluded that there is a need to improve health facilities and ensure that women are treated with dignity and respect during childbirth.
