A recent study conducted by the Institute of Marine Biochemistry in Hanoi, Vietnam, has discovered new insights into the marine-derived fungus Aspergillus sp. OPR23-FS01. The research identified several new compounds, including a new unsaturated fatty acid and two natural compounds. Additionally, the study found that one of the compounds exhibited significant cytotoxicity against certain cell lines and antimicrobial effects against specific bacteria and fungi. The research was supported by the Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology and has been peer-reviewed.
