Abstrakt: Researchers at the National Autonomous University in Mexico City have published a case report on a rare presentation of a synovial cyst. Synovial cysts are often mistaken for ganglion cysts, but they have a synovial cell lining instead of dense fibrous connective tissue. The case involved a 53-year-old Hispanic female with a synovial cyst in the extensor digitorum superficialis tendon of her right hand. The surgery confirmed the diagnosis, and the patient was discharged without complications. This case highlights the importance of understanding synovial cysts in the differential diagnosis of hand tumors. [Extracted from the article]
