Abstrakt: A new report discusses research findings on penile induration, a fibrotic disorder that causes penile deformity and curvature known as Peyronie's disease (PD). Many patients with PD also experience erectile dysfunction (ED), which significantly impacts their sexual function and quality of life. The gold standard treatment for PD with moderate to severe ED is inflatable penile prosthesis (IPP) implantation. The report provides a comprehensive review of the different surgical techniques and approaches used during IPP placement for PD, including adjunct procedures for straightening the penis and advanced lengthening procedures. The research also presents a flowchart to aid surgeons in making intraoperative decisions based on curvature characteristics and patient concerns. [Extracted from the article]
