Abstrakt: A new study from the Federal University of Agriculture provides insights into liver cancer. The study focused on hepatocellular carcinoma, a prevalent and life-threatening form of liver cancer. The researchers investigated the effects of ferulic acid interventions on liver cancer in male Wistar rats. The results showed that treatment with ferulic acid reduced the levels of certain markers associated with liver cancer and upregulated the expression of p53 and Nrf2, while downregulating the Akt/PKB-NF-kB pathway. These findings suggest that ferulic acid may have potential as an antioxidant and a treatment for chemical-induced liver cancer. [Extracted from the article]
