Abstrakt: A recent study conducted by the Medical University of Lodz in Poland explores the potential of postbiotics derived from probiotic bacteria cultures as adjunctive agents in breast cancer treatment. The researchers found that these postbiotics have bioactivity that can exert prohealth and anticancer effects, making them viable options for supporting therapy in breast cancer patients. The study specifically focused on the effects of postbiotics derived from L. plantarum and L. rhamnosus cultures on breast cancer cells, and found that they decreased cell viability, triggered apoptosis, and enhanced the cytotoxic effect of tamoxifen and a new candidate drug. This research suggests that postbiotics could be natural adjunctive agents in breast cancer treatment alongside synthetic drugs. [Extracted from the article]
