Abstrakt: A new study conducted by the Instituto Nacional de Cancerologia in Mexico City has found that cervical cancer remains one of the most common cancers worldwide, despite advancements in screening and HPV vaccines. The study focused on young women with locally advanced cervical cancer and identified a microRNA profile that regulates inflammation-related signaling pathways. The researchers discovered differentially expressed miRNAs that target elements of the JAK/STAT pathway and other inflammation-related pathways. This research sheds light on the mechanisms through which HPV regulates inflammation and highlights the JAK/STAT signaling pathway as a potential diagnostic marker for cervical cancer patients under 45 years old.
