| Abstrakt: | A study conducted by investigators from Columbia University examined the familial aggregation of seizure outcomes in four familial epilepsy cohorts. The study found that a history of four or more tonic-clonic seizures showed strong familial aggregation, suggesting a genetic influence. However, seizure remission and seizure control for individuals taking antiseizure medication did not consistently aggregate in families.
