Abstrakt: A recent study conducted by researchers at the University of Jinan in Guangzhou, China, explores drug resistance in the treatment of non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). The study focuses on the development of autophagosome-tethering compounds (ATTECs) that can degrade the epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) and inhibit NSCLC cell lines. The researchers found that one particular compound, ATTEC 12c, showed promising results in degrading EGFR and inhibiting NSCLC in both in vitro and in vivo experiments. This research provides new insights into potential therapeutic strategies to prevent drug resistance in EGFR mutations. [Extracted from the article]
