This article explores the use of single particle inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry (sp-ICP-MS) to measure iron at extremely low levels in magnetite hybrid silica methacrylate core-shell nanocomposite particles. The researchers synthesized two types of magnetic nanocomposites and used various techniques to analyze their structure and iron distribution. The results provide valuable insights into the amount of iron in each nanocomposite and its relationship to the structure. The study highlights the potential of sp-ICP-MS as a tool for monitoring and improving the synthesis of hybrid nanocomposites. [Extracted from the article] |
