Abstrakt: The article discusses the outcomes of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change's 28th Conference of Parties (COP 28) negotiations, which took place in Dubai in December 2023. The delegates agreed to move away from fossil fuels for the first time, recognizing the need for urgent reductions in greenhouse gas emissions. The article highlights the late and weak response to the scientific evidence on climate change and the power dynamics between different stakeholders. It also mentions the inclusion of food systems in the negotiations and the signing of a food and agriculture agreement by 159 countries. However, concerns about food justice and food systems emissions were not adequately addressed. The article concludes by suggesting possible next steps for those interested in agroecology-inspired food systems transformation. [Extracted from the article]
