Abstrakt: This article discusses a case of a unilateral flat chest wall in an 8-year-old boy, which is diagnosed as Poland syndrome. Poland syndrome is characterized by the absence of the pectoralis major muscle on one side of the body, along with other possible skeletal and visceral anomalies. The exact cause of Poland syndrome is unknown, but it is believed to be related to an interruption of blood supply during embryonic development. Treatment for Poland syndrome is mainly for aesthetic purposes, and may involve the use of silicon prostheses or breast reconstruction in females. Psychological support is also recommended for children with Poland syndrome. [Extracted from the article]
