Researchers at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota have conducted a study on follicular lymphoma (FL), a type of non-Hodgkin lymphoma. The study found that FL exhibits significant biological and clinical heterogeneity. Using RNA-seq and machine-learning approaches, the researchers identified three transcriptional states of FL B cells: inflamed, proliferative, and chromatin-modifying states. These states were associated with specific mutations, copy-number alterations, and interactions with T follicular helper cells or activated T cells. The findings contribute to our understanding of FL heterogeneity and may guide therapeutic interventions. [Extracted from the article] |
