A recent study conducted in Birmingham, United Kingdom, explored the experiences of individuals with fibromyalgia who underwent a 6-week trial of whole-body photobiomodulation therapy (PBMT). The study utilized qualitative methodology to assess the acceptability and efficacy of the treatment. The findings revealed that participants experienced increased motivation, improved confidence, and a sense of returning to their "old self," leading to a positive spiral of improvement termed "recomposition." The researchers believe that these compelling results warrant further investigation and support the introduction of PBMT into the National Health Service (NHS). [Extracted from the article] |
