A recent report discusses a collaborative project between Gonzaga University and a local elementary school aimed at promoting health literacy in students and their families. Led by an Academic Health Sciences Librarian, the project initially focused on delivering nutrition education to elementary school students and their families. However, due to pandemic closures, the project expanded to include other outreach opportunities such as tabling at a local block party and supporting middle school cooking classes. The project fostered close relationships with the elementary school and laid the groundwork for future collaborative health programming. [Extracted from the article] |
