Abstrakt: This article is a letter to the editor of a medical journal discussing the development of a definition for disease modification in plaque psoriasis. The study involved a literature review and a consensus process with experts in psoriasis care. The panel developed a definition of disease modification as a sustained improvement in the disease course of plaque psoriasis resulting from a change in pathophysiology that reduces the need for treatment. The letter also mentions the concept of remission in chronic plaque psoriasis and the assessment tools used to measure psoriasis severity. The study was funded by Janssen Immunology, and the authors disclosed their conflicts of interest. [Extracted from the article]
