This article examines the relationship between immune markers and BRAF status in melanoma patients and how they affect survival outcomes. The study analyzed data from three previous studies on immunogenic melanoma and found that patients with BRAF mutations had higher levels of M1 macrophages. The presence of these macrophages was linked to an increased risk of BRAF mutations. The study also found that higher levels of activated dendritic cells were associated with a higher risk of mortality, especially in patients with BRAF mutations. These findings have potential implications for personalized treatment strategies, but more research is needed due to the limitations of the study. [Extracted from the article] |
