Abstrakt:	Describes the use of an algorithm for the numerical evaluation of Bessel functions to improve the efficiency an electromagnetic (EM) simulator that is able to predict the electromagnetic response of the microwave device. Method that is based on continued fractions, forward and backward recurrences, and the proper use of the Wronskian; Improvement that allows use of the simulator for the computer-aided design (CAD) of complex devices such as coupled cavities filters with mechanizations effects due to low-cost fabrication techniques.
