This work is mostly done in the context of language planning. Language planning can be done for many different purposes. One of the goals is the standardization of languages. Language planning for the purpose of standardization consists of major activities such as corpus planning, status planning and acquisition planning. Language planning activities may be done by individuals or by institutions. The subject of this research is the Mesopotamia Foundation's language planning activities. This work consists of an introduction and three parts. In the first part, the theoretical background of language planning is given. In the second part, the background of Kurmanji Kurdish planning is given briefly, and in the third part, the work and activities of the Mesopotamia Foundation in the context of language planning are introduced and evaluated. In order to do this work, we benefited from literature and interviews were held with the founder, manager, volunteer and coordinator of the Mesopotamia Foundation. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR] |
