Abstrakt: This article discusses the use of a 675 nm laser for the treatment of melasma in individuals with Fitzpatrick skin types IV-V. Melasma is a condition that predominantly affects darker skin types and can have a significant impact on patients' quality of life. Laser treatments are commonly used for melasma, but there is a higher risk of post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation in darker skin types. The study involved three Indonesian female patients with melasma, and the results showed significant clinical improvement in all three cases. The 675 nm laser demonstrated effectiveness in reducing melasma severity without causing serious adverse effects. However, further research is needed to validate these findings and optimize treatment protocols. [Extracted from the article]
