Abstrakt: This article discusses the prevalence and risks associated with postoperative delirium (POD) in patients undergoing cardiac surgery. The study aimed to analyze the predictive values of various assessments, including a delirium risk screening questionnaire, cognitive assessments, frailty assessments, and geriatric assessments, in predicting POD. The results showed that the delirium risk screening questionnaire performed well in predicting POD and could be implemented into the daily routine of cardiac surgery. Additionally, a decision tree model incorporating the delirium risk screening questionnaire, cognitive assessments, and frailty assessments was identified as a useful tool for screening POD risk.
